So far we have a few interesting crops: strawberries, rhubarb, eggplant, zucchini squash, two kinds of apple trees, and a few others I'm not remembering. All of these are the product of the previous roommates who started the garden. My contribution thus far are the newly established pumpkin plants and the reviving lilies. Oh yes, and I can't forget to give credit to good ol' mother nature for providing the blackberries that grow... so plentifully... along the back fence line.
For the most part my ignorance and interests have limited me to tending to only the strawberries, Zucchini, pumpkins, apple tree and lilies, however, as time is passing and I'm beginning to take more deep rooted interest in all of this, I am finding that I'd like to actually take the time to get to know all the plants and tend to them properly. I think however, my pride and joy will always remain with the pumpkins and strawberries.
Here's a little peek at the new life currently:
(I've got my fingers crossed this little baby will make it through the winter.)
